Everything you need to know about buying African and Nigerian food together in the UK
Probably not close enough to be convenient, which is the problem Pantry exists to solve. Pantry is an online African and Nigerian food store, so instead of travelling to a shop you order online and the food is delivered. You start or join a bulk buy group with people in your area, and one wholesale order is delivered for the group.
Pantry's UK Store lists rice, beans, garri, egusi, palm oil, semolina and more at wholesale prices, with the typical UK retail price shown next to ours so you can see the difference for yourself rather than take our word for it.
Mostly because it is sold to you in small quantities at retail margins. Wholesale prices are for whole sacks and cases, which is more than one household wants to buy or store. Pantry gets around that by letting a group buy at wholesale together and split the order, so you get the wholesale price on the amount you actually need.
Yes. That is the point of a bulk buy group. Nobody has to take a 25kg sack on their own. Everyone in the group picks what they want, everyone pays their own share into one shared pot, and Pantry places a single bulk order for all of it.
Nothing. Creating an account, starting a group and browsing prices are all free. You only pay for the food you order.
Yes. UK Store and Bulk Buy Group orders are delivered to any UK address, including Northern Ireland. There's no postcode restriction or coverage check: if it's a UK delivery address, Pantry can deliver to it.
Delivery is free when your basket's items subtotal is £100 or more. Below that, delivery is calculated from the total weight of your items: £7.99 for a basket up to 20kg, plus 35p for every kilogram over that. Your exact delivery cost is shown on the group's Cart tab before you pay, never as a surprise at the end.
Orders run in two weekly batches. One closes Thursday at midnight for delivery Thursday through Saturday; the other closes Sunday at midnight for delivery Sunday through Thursday. The exact cut-off and expected delivery window for your order are shown on the group page before you pay. See the full Delivery Policy for what can extend these estimates.
Email support@mypantry.uk with your order number and what went wrong, and Pantry will sort it out promptly with a replacement, a refund, or a Pantry balance credit, whichever fits the problem. A photo helps but isn't required.
For most non-perishable goods, you can cancel without giving a reason up to 14 days after delivery, then you have another 14 days to return them for a refund. This doesn't cover food liable to spoil quickly or sealed goods that can't be returned for hygiene reasons once opened, and none of this ever affects your rights when something is faulty, damaged, or not as described. See the full Refund and Returns Policy for Bulk Buy Group and Family Basket specifics.
Pantry delivers to any UK address, so yes, wherever you are in the UK. Bulk Buy Groups are already active in several major cities. See the Pantry Locations page to find yours, or start a group if there isn't one near you yet.
